I'm not sure how I came to download this book, but Author Jeff Norton claims from the outset that the story is based on real life events and that "character names have been changed to protect living relatives and active personnel." After reading a little way in I was curious and looked up this Norton guy. It turns out he is, I would say, somewhat of a David Icke/Alex Jones kind of guy, and/or with a vivid imagination, but it was making for an intriguing story and one that flowed well; it's long too at over 100 chapters.

If you want to read a book that could supposedly reveal some of the history of things like black ops, alien invasions and abductions, UFOs, Area 51, time travel (with links to the Nazis and Soviet Russia) and government cover-ups, then this is a book for you.

You could almost take it all seriously, but I honestly cringed when in the second to last Part the author writes himself into the story as a “psychic remote viewer” and the person ultimately responsible for Area 51 having to be moved from its historical location (as portrayed in Independence Day). That isn’t the only movie reference by the way; there is also a lot of ‘James Bond’.

I made copious notes along the way and looked up the various things I found interesting. These note follow; this is a lengthy page, but I have divided things up into the book's chapters so you can jump back and forth if you wish.

Main character ‘Doctor Theodore Humphrey’, Ted, attended Barstow High school which was attended by kids of families at Marine base Twenty-Nine Palms.

"Synchronicity is a concept first introduced by analytical psychologist Carl G. Jung 'to describe circumstances that appear meaningfully related yet lack a causal connection.' In contemporary research, synchronicity experiences refer to one's subjective experience that coincidences between events in one's mind and the outside world may be causally unrelated to each other yet have some other unknown connection. Jung held that this was a healthy, even necessary, function of the human mind that can become harmful within psychosis... Mainstream science generally regards that any such hypothetical principle either does not exist or would not fall within the bounds of science [or cannot be described by it]." - Wikipedia

In the film "The Eagle has Landed", Robert Duvall's character discusses the idea of synchronicity and his allowing it to influence his thinking sets the plot in motion:

The 1976 film is based on the 1975 novel The Eagle Has Landed by Jack Higgins, the film is about a fictional German plot to kidnap Winston Churchill near the end of the Second World War.

The book makes use of the "false document technique", that is a technique by which an author (like Mortal also perhaps) aims to increase verisimilitude in a work of fiction by inventing and inserting or mentioning documents that appear to be factual. The goal of a false document is to convince an audience that what is being presented is factual. The same can be experienced in so-called sci-fi films.

Refers to LAPD’s famous badge [right] emblazoned with the magnificent ziggurat topped obelisk of the City Hall building; the symbol of California.

“Even though we are scientists we are also sometimes required to assume the role of patriots as well.”

The office cat, Shalu, is a curious creature, almost alien-like, but it seems the author forgets about her after a while.

The are a couple of references in the book about Jonah and the whale. It is now that I consider Jonah, the main character in Meta Wars series of books by Jeff Norton.

“Bizarre phenomenon around electromagnetic fields and why time dilations occurred within the heart of explosions, especially those that were nuclear in nature…”

Refers to The Eldridge, which as Wikipedia states was a destroyer escort ship of the US Navy, launched in 1943 and decommissioned in 1946. As part of its service it was fitted with degaussing coils used to help protect it against mines and/or make it invisible to enemy radar. This was part of Project Rainbow, aka The Philadelphia Experiment, mentioned also in the book. This lead to the so-called conspiracy that expands on the ship being "invisible to mines/radar" to it having the ability to be "optically invisible". Furthermore, when the system was activated for the first time specifically on August 12th 1943, and so the story goes, the vessel shifted out of phase, causing crew to be stuck in bulkheads and killed. Horrifying stuff. A part of the official details that appears odd to me, is that the ship was only in service for three years - perhaps this was normal for a craft of this period in time, but I can't help but imagine that if the ship did succeed in travelling back in time some years (and/or suffered damage due to such an experiment) then it would technically have reached its date of decommissioning sooner. The ship was sold on however, which makes one then wonder what happened to the panels with bodies stuck in them... You can read more about the experiment [here].

Degaussing is named after Carl Friedrich Gauss (rhymes with mouse) and (as some may remember) the system used in CRT monitors.

John von Neumann is in the story, a mathematician and physicist who worked on the Manhattan Project. In 1955 he was diagnosed with cancer that is said to have likely been the result of his radiation exposure during his time at the Los Alamos National Laboratory [Wikipedia].

Dr Vannevar Bush, on the cover of Time in 1944, co-founded Raytheon (“Light of the Gods”), again of the Manhattan Project.

Eisenhower warned in his farewell address about the “Military Industrial Complex.” [Youtube]

Refers to Einstein and Tesla, and his gaussing coils, and that he died on January 7th 1943 at the age of 86, on the 33rd floor of the New Yorker Hotel which is on 34th and 8th street, Manhattan.

Zero Time Point (ZTP) – human beings have this within them (a piece of God). Interacting with anything electromagnetic triggers this.

Monitoring atomic events in Russia and China at Lop Nor, a nuclear test base established in 1959.

"China established the Lop Nur Nuclear Test Base on 16 October 1959 with Soviet assistance in selection of the site... The first Chinese nuclear bomb test, codenamed "Project 596" [right], occurred at Lop Nur on 16 October 1964. China detonated its first hydrogen bomb on 17 June 1967. Until 1996, 45 nuclear tests were conducted. These nuclear tests were conducted by dropping bombs from aircraft and towers, launching missiles, detonating weapons underground and in the atmosphere." - Wikipedia

Dr Otto Craig, Swedish and mission control specialist who spent some time in the early days of the missile program in White Sands, New Mexico. Aka, Crazy Otto.

May 24th 1961, teleported a recording capsule into a Russian Nuclear explosion, then to the surface of the Moon, and back to base at Montauk, New York.

It appears to me that Nichols' books are the basis for Morton's. Whilst looking up this book I found another, Project Superman - Mind Control and The Montauk Projects, by Andy Pero.

*This is when the veil between dimensions and universes was especially thin – a hole in the fabric of time and space was ripped. I have heard something similar said of Halloween.

Then Roswell and Corona in New Mexico crafts crashed. Then Socorro and two more in Texas, less than a month apart. Men who are about power, will twist and pervert things, for greed, wealth and control; they care nothing about science or the purity of research.

The description on goodreads of Stanton T. Friedman's book Crash at Corona: The U.S. Military Retrieval and Cover-Up of a UFO says: "On July 8, 1947, the U.S. Army stated that the remains of a flying disk had been recovered from a ranch near Corona, New Mexico. Now, this book exposes the government's successful 40-year conspiracy to conceal the truth behind America's most documented UFO encounter."

I've read and heard about the Roswell Incident which happened around the same time, and another of Friedman's books "Top Secret / Majic" back in 2008.

May 25th 1961 might well have been Ground Hog’s Day, with the President’s speech about the Moon landing and space race.

War is a matter where people try to change other people’s views through force.

T. Townsend Brown, Bush, Von Neumann, Einstein, Tesla and others worked on it.

Refers to a small island of the north coast of Iceland, called Mount Grace, which is an extinct volcano, blasted out inside, and used for a sub pen. I can find no such island or volcano.

According to Wikipedia: "Otto Adolf Eichmann (19 March 1906 – 1 June 1962) was a German-Austrian SS-Obersturmbannführer and one of the major organisers of the Holocaust – the so-called "Final Solution to the Jewish Question" in Nazi terminology. He was tasked by SS-Obergruppenführer Reinhard Heydrich with facilitating and managing the logistics involved in the mass deportation of millions of Jews to ghettos and extermination camps in Nazi-occupied Eastern Europe during World War II. Eichmann was captured by Mossad agents in Argentina on 11 May 1960 and subsequently found guilty of war crimes in a widely publicised trial in Jerusalem, following which he was executed by hanging in 1962."

And, "Hans Kammler (26 August 1901 – 1945 [assumed][b]) was an SS-Obergruppenführer responsible for Nazi civil engineering projects and its top secret weapons programmes. He oversaw the construction of various Nazi concentration camps before being put in charge of the V-2 rocket and jet programmes towards the end of World War II. Kammler disappeared in May 1945, during the final days of the war. There has been much conjecture regarding his fate."

1945, slave workers at Dora-Mittelbau concentration camp to be executed, but Kammler had a rare and mysterious act of mercy and did not go through with it…. Most of that was just a cover story for ‘the history crowd.’

Really he was working on a device called Die Glocke/The Nazi Bell – the pinnacle of the SS General’s occult and super secret SS Wonde Weapons Empire… a prototype for the Beast at Montauk. Measuring 9ft in diameter, 15ft tall and comprising of two counter-rotating cylinders. Using Xerum 525 [aka Red Mercury]. It could only be operated for a few minutes.

“The Gateway Process” or opening/closing of holes in the spacetime continuum.

A new site built at Nevada, nr. Fallon up by Reno, a naval air station that does training close to the Dixie Valley Test Range.

Last movement of a Wagner concerto [Wagner is mentioned in the book I read about Gisors].

Irina Tolsky, Russian spy/defector/double-agent, becomes the wife to main character.

“Something happens around the time waves… something goes funny in people’s heads. It’s a side effect.. Paranoia is the first stage. They think they are being watched and monitored all the time and then it gets into obsessions… [OCD].”

The ‘Voice of Moscow’ broadcasts propaganda… how American movie stars are always in scandals.

“Self-interest will always prevail over ideology or training when it comes down to the individual… self-sacrifice is only an option when all other options are exhausted…”

Moore published The Philadelphia Experiment: Project Invisibility, which purported to be a factual account about the Philadelphia Experiment where a United States Navy experiment accidentally teleported the warship USS Eldridge. Chapter 10 of the book was titled "The Force Fields of Townsend Brown", retelling of Brown's early work and claiming he was involved in the experiment and implying Brown's electrogravitics was the propulsion being used by UFOs. Electrogravitics is also popular with other conspiracy theorists with claims that it is powering the B-2 Stealth Bomber and UFOs and that it may have become a classified subject by 1957.[9] There are further claims that it can be used to generate "free energy"." As one website writes on the topic: "Karl Krafft, the personal astrologer of Adolf Hitler himself. It turns out that the Fuhrer ordered to make a forecast for the development of events in Germany from 1937 to 1945. In particular, it said: “... 1939 will go down in the history of mankind as the beginning of one of the most destructive wars, and severe trials will fall on the shoulders of the German people. The year 1945 will be especially difficult, but victory is expected in August.""

Mount Grace disappeared – high radiation readings across the northern side of Russia down to Vladivostok on the Pacific.

1. Substances that promoted illogical thinking and impulsivity to the point where the subject lost credibility in public.

7. Substances that improved the capabilities of individuals to support sensory deprivation, torture and coercion during interrogation and so – called "brainwashing".

'Project Beta: The Story of Paul Bennewitz, National Security, and the Creation of a Modern UFO Myth' is a book by Greg Bishop that, by the very title, seeks to discredit Bennewitz, it opens with:

More on MK Ultra – their tech, a way of altering what thoughts and could be used to change the internal programming of an individual.

While I haven't been able to find anything about Heron, "Camp Hero" is also known as Montauk which is the centre for a variety of "conspiracy theories".

Counterparts in Europe, Asia and South America… coordination of defences and preparation for the ‘event horizon’ which can only occur past and beyond December 21 2012. It’s a function of logic… on the part of the Reptoids… moving an invasion fleet through time and space is not as easy as sci-fi.

Looking Glass is an aircraft at 40,000ft circling the US. ALICE is the general in charge. He takes over if the president and all other government officials are no longer able to communicate their wishes. He makes the attempt two minutes apart and then assumes command.

JFK was going to bring unwarranted exposure of the Group because of his ongoing battle with Allen Dulles and the CIA over their errors in Cuba and the missile crisis the year before.

Underground train network, took 20 years by Air Force and Army Corp. Of Engineers. It runs to every major installation and facility they control, inc. Edwards AFB, California and Bangor Sub Base, Washing State, Texas, Strategic Air Command in Omaha, then ending in DC. That’s called the Red Line. The original tunnels were drilled under Eisenhower’s Route 66… The Pentagon budget is 60% of all government spending and more than the budgets of all 50 states combined.

I found this statement curious, and weirdly it's a thing:

A group of ‘Travellers’ as they call themselves, interested in the welfare of the local universe… They cannot get involved, but they can warn and assist up to the point of violating a protocol established by some other, more powerful group.
