Running... [August 2021]

I was almost 30 years old when I took up running, somewhat of a late-bloomer you might say. At first my legs and feet suffered a little; my whole body felt the impact of each step. Gradually things improved, and being used to cycling and having a level of fitness there to begin with certainly helped.

From that point my effort has been focussed on running each day, typically just a couple of miles, but this hasn't been an easy target or routine for me.

I thought when I acquired a Fitbit in 2020 that I might experience some further encouragement, but once the novelty of that wore I think the lasting effect has been only slight.

I have tried to build running into my morning routine, but success has been somewhat hit-and-miss.
