[October 2022] After breaking my FujiFilm FinePix S8200 I picked up a second-hand (although in pristine condition) Nikon Coolpix L820 as a replacement. To compare with the Fujifilm:

Pros/Cons:

• Also takes 4 x AA batteries
• Also 16.0MP
• Also 1080p video
• 30x Optical Zoom instead of 40x
• No viewfinder
• No manual shutter speed/F-stops
• Seems to have better image stabilisation (in the lens?)
• Neither have microphone input
• Neither have manual focus
• Only one macro mode
• More compact

I no longer have this camera. One of the battery cover's catches got mashed (it's not super robust) so rather than wait until it failed entirely I sold it on.

13/10/22: Without access to manual shutter settings and the 40x Optical Zoom
(only 30x) of my Fujifilm, it just doesn't do the Moon justice (although not the best conditions/phase).
