The Sphinx & The Megaliths by John Ivimy

Ivimy worked his research into the Sphinx and the building of such megaliths as Stonehenge into a conclusion that the latter was built by the ancient Egyptians to predict lunar eclipses as a kind of last-ditch attempt to keep their society back home (in Egypt) alive. Fascinating - that's my conclusion of his conclusion anyway!

The Splendour that was Egypt by Margaret A. Murray

I found this book a fascinating read and the layout worked well making it easy to follow ancient Egypt as it evolved.
