Journaling June - Day 24
Journaling June
Day 24 I was listening in on the air traffic control chatter again last night and there was a funny moment. It's generally short and to the point exchanges regarding changing headings or altitude etc., or sometimes a friendly "bye" as a foreign flight heads off. But this brief call went something like "Sorry to ask, just a quick one; do you have the football score by any chance?" It was so out of the blue, and out of character for what I was used to hearing so far that I laughed out loud. I couldn't hear the reply, but I did get the follow-up thanks. I now wonder it this so-and-so got a little slap on the wrist for this.
Not related to that call is how I find it curious that fancy jets like these (above) can pass over with next to no data on Flightradar24; no departure or destination. Probably some rich billionaire who doesn't have to answer to anyone. To the right is my photograph of it, taken with my phone. Today I just had a quick work visit in the morning and then in the afternoon I attached bits of my car with an angle grinder. I found more filler than I was hoping for an now have some derusting and re-fillering to do... Later I received a message from ebay informing me they had removed one of my listings for a Listing Violation...
Yep, it's the saddle off an electric scooter... no batteries included. I tried to jump through all of ebay's hoops to "correct" the listing but there appeared to be no way to now Edit the listing, as ebay's message claimed I could. I sent them some feedback instead. Speaking of ebay feedback, I learned only yesterday that ebay automatically leave feedback for sellers after 7 days of a completed transaction if a buyer has yet to do so (leaving feedback later will overwrite it).
This is a bit annoying because sometimes I've procrastinated about leaving feedback when I've been less than happy but wasn't sure about leaving neutral feedback; feeling like no feedback was somehow helpful to buyers... but now it turns out ebay will have been leaving positive feedback on my behalf on these occasions. I mean, it will have worked in my favour when I've been the seller, but now I wonder about all of the feedback I've been receiving! |
