Day 19,

I wasn't quite prepared for today's day, so I bring you a collection of diaries/planners.


I quite like the Filofax style ones, but often the refills are more expensive than a fresh new diary.
Bottom-right, waiting in the wings, is next years.

I considered switching to an app on my phone but it turns out I can't be sold on anything other than pen and paper - the ease of scribbling something down and being able to mentally recall, somewhat, visually (in my mind's eye) what and where that thing was written. I can add something to the margin, I don't have to pick a specific time slot.... Ok, so I don't have all that much to schedule in each day.

I also have fond memories of using Lotus Smartsuite's Diary program; I loved the aesthetic of that, but it wasn't portable. Modern day apps are bland and flat.

 

A physical diary does mean carrying around something more in my work bag but I'm happy with that.
