I was given this Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX150 complete in box. It's diminutive size and point-and-shoot style was deceiving; it sported 14MP and a RAW mode option which was a great asset with the included (if somewhat buggy) software. Being such high resolution and compact and lightweight in nature it was preferred choice when I cycled to Scotland in 2016 from my home in Wales (packing light for that trip was a necessity). Because of that trip, this camera is memorable for the pictures I took with it and I include a few below. The only downside was it took proprietary batteries and I only had two of them, but they thankfully lasted the trip (just!) In the end the lens of the camera ended up with some smudges on it that I couldn't shift so I sold it on. You can see them clearly in this colour-adjusted image; it was especially noticeable on clear blue skies.
Perhaps some isopropynol
alcohol on a lens cleaning spludger thing could have sorted it, but
some gentle coaxing with a lens cloth alone made next to no
difference; it was almost as if the defect was on the inside of the
lens, but perhaps not. |
