Day 5, Last night I saw there was a moon halo. I
couldn't actually see the moon because it was obscured by the
clouds, and in this picture it was further obscured by my
house's chimney, which I think adds to the effect:

It's faint, but it's there, right?
I had noted in my November 2024 log that I had seen the Moon
with a halo and I think that was the first time I'd acknowledged
such a thing. Here is a description of the phenomenon:
A lunar halo is a luminous ring that encircles the
[light of the] moon, created when moonlight is refracted,
reflected, and dispersed through hexagonal ice crystals
suspended in high-altitude cirrus or cirrostratus clouds*.
This phenomenon is most commonly observed around a full or
nearly full moon, as the increased brightness of the moon
enhances the visibility of the halo.
*I warned you about those clouds!
Tomorrow the Moon moves into Gemini where Jupiter presently
resides:
As the Full Moon moves into Gemini where
Jupiter resides, astrology suggests a burst of activity around
communication, learning, and shared ideas. Conversations may
grow louder, news may travel faster, and curiosity may run
high, bringing fresh perspectives or sudden realizations.
Meanwhile, Jupiter’s influence is believed to amplify
everything Gemini touches — from social connections to media
and information — making this a moment of expansion and
enthusiasm, but also one that calls for discernment amid
exaggeration or overload. - ChatGPT
I like taking photographs of the evening sky. Here's one from
a couple of evenings ago:

And one from last month:

I've now come to realise that I haven't uploaded
anything to
DeviantArt since March... 2023. I need to address this...
