Day 23, Day 1 of 2022's Advent
Calendar thingy saw the arrival of The Snow Plough, and for
each year following it has had pride of place under each
calendar... transporting visitors to some other Calendars hosted
on Neocities and beyond.
The falling snow had been spotted on
Mima's
Calendar for that year, and the snowplough image found elsewhere
via Google Images, but the idea came from my highschool back in
the 90s, where in the computer lab at Christmas, each computer
(running on Windows NT) was blessed with a screensaver of sorts;
complete with falling snow, and a snowplough clearing away the
build-up. My version was somewhat crude in that it was just
a falling snow animation and the snowplough travelling across.
But behold!
The falling snow I spotted over on
PhailSnail's Day 1, and I admired how it landed properly at
the bottom of the screen and began to build up. I needed this
snow! I found the instructions
here.
With the aid of ChatGPT I got the snowplough to shift the
snow. There was lots of too'ing-and-fro'ing with some tweaks
breaking the whole thing - we got there in the end!
