Day 18, This year I thoroughly enjoyed reading Victor
Hugo's Les Misérables, so much so that I bought myself a
physical copy so I can read it again at some point. It's a hefty
tome but lacks any of the woodcuts I am fond of seeing in the
works of Dickens I have. To this end, here is a woodcut created
by ChatGPT of the cast:

From top left: "Javert; stern, in the top hat. Fantine;
centered above, with flowing hair and a sorrowful expression.
Enjolras; top right, rallying with the flag. Cosette (as a
child); middle left, wide-eyed. Marius Pontmercy; middle center,
wearing the cravat. Gavroche; bottom left, the streetwise boy
with a defiant grip. Jean Valjean; bottom center, bearded and
resolute. Éponine; bottom right, in the bonnet, watchful and
somber."
This took two attempts because it used the same face and hair
for Gavroche as Fantine, Cosette, and Éponine. It must be
drawing from a limited pool.
Earlier this year I worked my way through the Twilight Saga
books and then DVDs, having only seen the first instalment
already.

Guess who.
I'm currently working my way through some Jason Statham
movies, I don't think I'll request any woodcuts of that...
